The Firemen’s Association of the State of New York and the New York State Freemasons implemented the FASNY Child ID Program (CHIP) as a team effort to protect our neighbors and communities from abductions and the loss of children and older adults. By capturing digital photographs of children, as well as their fingerprints, to be kept by their parents at no charge, FASNYCHIP has greatly assisted in reducing the number of missing persons in New York State.
"If this program helps recover just one lost or abducted child, or prompts just one family to think more about protecting their kids from possible abductions, it is a success. "
